QLEAVE (Portable long service leave)
QLeave (Portable long service
leave) is similar to regular long service leave but it is available
only to workers performing building and construction work for employers
in this industry. It was introduced because many workers have
to change employers regularly to maintain continuity of work in the
building and construction industry. These workers may never
build a long service leave benefit with a single employer. The
scheme gives these workers the chance to build a long service leave
benefit within the industry.
The scheme is administered by the Authority. It is not superannuation.

BERT
The Building Employees Redundancy Trust (BERT) is a redundancy trust
that provides redundancy benefits, training grants and welfare assistance
for workers in the building and construction industry in Queensland.

Construction Income Protection Queensland - CIPQ commenced on
1st March 2001 to provide income protection and portability of sick
leave benefits for workers in the building and construction industry.
