Best Touch Footy competition ever

By Terry Tye - Sunshine Coast North Organiser

The Touch Footy competition this year surpassed all of our previous great efforts. The colour, the carnival atmosphere of “tent city” and the attitude of al the participating teams set the scene for the best day ever.
The Fathers’ Day theme was certainly to the fore with Mums scrambling everywhere after more kids than I’ve ever seen – while the Dads just kicked back.

BLF CHARITY DAY

By Kristian Whitehead

Charity day kicked off on Sunday the 7th of September. An early start to father’s day saw the first touch football match start at 9am.

This year there was plenty to grin about as the kids took to the amusement rides, farm animals and face paint, not to mention free snow cones and BLF T-shirts.

The Workers and families enjoyed the football matches and novelty events such as the wheelie bin races and the couple’s three- legged challenge.
