FACT SHEET: Working in hot temperatures

OH&S Bulletin: Working in hot temperatures

With many of us already feeling the heat, the summer ahead is set to be a scorcher. Make sure you are up to date with the health and safety regulations for working in heat.

Under section 28(i) of the Queensland Workplace Health and Safety Act, the employer has a legal duty to ensure the health and safety of workers. Whilst legislation doesn't specify a temperature which you should stop work at, any persons suffering symptoms of heat stroke should stop work immediately.
