What you should know about EBA and Award rates

To determine what your entitlements may be it is first necessary to identify the principal award that you are bound by.
 
An award is a document made by the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (the Commission), that lists all of the minimum wages and conditions that apply to classes of work or workers listed in the award.

Unfair Dismissal Form

 If you are a Financial member of the union and you believe that you have been unfairly dismissed then complete the Unfair Dismissal Complaint Form and return it to the union office by mail (366 Upper Roma St Brisbane Qld 4000), in person, or by fax (07 3236 2138).

Wage Complaint Form

The BLF recovers from employers over $2 million in unpaid wages per year. If you're financial and think you're are being under-paid complete a complaint form and return it to the union office by mail (366 Upper Roma St Brisbane Qld 4000), in person, or by fax (07 3236 2138).

CONTRIBUTIONS & YOUR SUPER

Time is running out!
Each financial year you get the opportunity to make the most of the super contributions you and your employer pay, by taking advantage of a ‘contribution limit’ (set by the Government) which enables you to increase your super,  up to the limit,  without any tax penalty.
